FILTECโs Rural Water Supply Solution for Small Community Drinking Water
The FILTEC AquaSAFE is an innovative and cost-effective water treatment solution specifically designed for small community drinking water sites such as marae, rural schools, housing developments and businesses on private supplies.
Assembled in-house by FILTEC, the AquaSAFE is available in sizes ranging from 25 to 100 cubic meters per day. This flexibility ensures we can tailor the system to match your water source, quality, and volume needs. The AquaSAFE incorporates essential filtration and disinfection processes to deliver consistently safe small community drinking water.
Water Sources
The FILTEC AquaSAFE can treat both primary and secondary water sources. Depending on the characteristics of the water source, pre-treatment may be necessary for the secondary water source, e.g., bore, rainwater, rivers and lakes.
Design Requirements for Compliance
Our system meets the New Zealand Drinking Water Standards (NZDWS) for any water source and populations of up to 500 people. However, a water safety plan may be required to meet the overall standard.
Treatment Processes
Each system has the following minimum treatment as a standard:
- Water storage
- Pump
- Pre-filtration screen
- Cartridge filtration
- UV disinfection
- IoT Remote monitoring
- Full operational & service documentation
Additional treatment processes may be added based on the water source and the results of the water analysis. Our modular approach ensures that each treatment plant is tailored to the unique water source, quality, and volume needs of the community.
Pressure
Our system has a minimum working pressure of 50 kPa at the flowrate specified. The maximum static pressure at any outlet, other than a fire service outlet, within a building should not exceed 500 kPa. The design pressure for the system at the consumer tie-in point is to be between 130 kPa โ 350 kPa.
