Municipal Wastewater
Working across the range of Primary, Secondary and Tertiary technologies to offer a variety of solutions to treat wastewater.
Primary Wastewater Solutions
The initial process in wastewater treatment designed to separate solids from the waste stream. Strainers, screens, aerators, sedimentation tanks and dewatering devices and even UV are used to remove solids and prepare the water for further treatment in the secondary stage of wastewater treatment.
A highly effective physical and chemical process for the removal of suspended solids, fats, oils and grease as well as nutrients from wastewater.Â
FILTEC has experience in the removal of groundwater and surface water. We can provide you with a system that performs solid separation, sludge thickening and dewatering within one compact unit.
Although often used in the secondary and tertiary stages, selected TrojanUV systems (Signa & 3000Plus) are capable of treating effluent with a UV transmittance as low as 15%.
Secondary Wastewater Solutions
With a wide variety of different processes available for Secondary Wastewater Treatment, FILTEC can help ensure the different stages are sized and matched to ensure optimum performance.
FILTEC has a range of different Clarifier options available, including timber tanks, concrete, steel and plastic. This means we can recommend the best option for new plants, upgrades and retrofit solutions in your treatment plant.
Tube settlers offer an inexpensive method of upgrading existing water treatment plant clarifiers and sedimentation basins to improve performance. They reduce the footprint required in new installations or improve performance of existing settling basins.
On the base of our long-standing experience in SBR-technology the clean water draw off – the G.A.A.-Lineardecanter® – is optimised in respect to energy consumption, operation security, discharge behavior and investment costs.
Wastewater treatment plants utilizing secondary wastewater treatment processes typically require a microorganism-treatment step prior to discharging effluent. FILTEC has a range of TrojanUV options to suit.
Tertiary Wastewater Solutions
TrojanUV wastewater systems are used in many applications, including the treatment of wastewater and storm water/combined sewer overflow effluent.
The TrojanUVSigna incorporates innovations, including TrojanUV Solo Lamp® Technology, to reduce the total cost of ownership and drastically simplify operation and maintenance.
The TrojanUV3000Plus is one of the reasons why UV is now a favoured technology in wastewater treatment. Often touted as a flagship UV system, it has demonstrated effective and reliable performance around the world.
The TrojanUV3000PTP (Packaged Treatment Plant) is ideally suited to treat flows up to 3 MGD (473 m3/hr). It is pre-engineered for quick, economical installation and is designed with proven components to provide a dependable UV solution for small wastewater treatment applications.
The TrojanUV3000B is a simple, yet robust system designed for small wastewater treatment plants that are looking to treat 1 – 5 MGD (158 – 789 m3/hr). The system is straightforward to use and requires minimal operator involvement thanks to its modular design and proven components.
The TrojanUVFit offers an effective and energy-efficient closed-vessel UV solution. This compact system is available in multiple configurations to treat a wide range of flow rates. Depending on site and design conditions, wastewater treatment plants producing filtered effluent sometimes prefer a disinfection solution using closed-vessel or pressurised UV chambers
The TrojanUVFlex is ideal for applications where the treatment of filtered tertiary effluent is required. It is designed with features to make installation and operation simpler, faster and more cost-effective than ever before. Built on the TrojanUV Solo Lamp Technology platform, TrojanUVFlex allows for energy-efficient high-intensity delivery of UV light in an extremely compact footprint.
